My Grandpa's Jacket

Chilao is a heritage-inspired lifestyle brand out of Los Angeles, founded by David and Matt, two friends who set out to make goods built for the people who live between the campfire and the city — canvas bags, aprons, ponchos, and heritage shirts made to be worn in, not just worn. The Chilao name itself carries its own bit of California lore, tracing back to a 19th-century figure who earned a legendary nickname for facing down a bear with nothing but a knife. That same spirit — rugged, story-laden, unbothered by trend — runs through everything the brand makes.
